The Academy is open to doctors and people interested in the science and practice of medicine and allied subjects. Applicants are submitted to the Council or Executive Committee and are subject to election. Consultants and those of equivalent status are admitted as Fellows, others are admitted as Members. Fellows and Members come from all over the world but principally from the 32 counties of Ireland.
Applicants will only be considered if sponsored by two Fellows of good standing with the Academy.
