Four Doctors Shortlisted for the ‘Young Investigators Award’
 
Four doctors in the early years of their oncology research have been shortlisted for the ‘Young Investigators Award’, sponsored by Saint Luke’s Hospital in Dublin and the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland. Now in its sixth year, this prestigious award includes a bronze medal from the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland and a prize of €1,000.
 
The four finalists selected to deliver short presentations of their research prior to the Saint Luke’s Lecture, (presentations start at 6pm) on January 27th, 2010, are: 
Dr Donal Brennan, UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science, UCD Conway Institute; 
Dr. Darren McCartan, Endocrine Oncology Research Group, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland; 
Dr. Darran O’Connor, UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science, UCD Conway Institute; 
Dr. Britta Stordal, National Institute for Cellular Biotechnology, Dublin City University.
 
 
The
35th Saint Luke's Lecture follows immediately after the 7th Saint Luke's Young Investigators Award presentations
 
on the evening of Wednesday, 27th January, 2010
