Welcome to the 31st Annual Conference of the RAMI Section of Bioengineering (BINI 2026)

The University of Limerick (UL) is delighted to announce that the 31st Annual Conference of the Section of Bioengineering of the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland (BINI 2026) will take place at the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone, Ireland from Friday 23rd – Saturday 24th January 2026.

The Bioengineering Conference has been held annually in Ireland since 1995, starting with a small interdisciplinary meeting of engineers and clinicians in Tulfarris, Co Wicklow. University College Dublin hosted the last conference in 2025, which saw 200+ delegates come together to share their science and showcase the excellent research that is being conducted across the different universities and colleges within Ireland. The research delegates presented exciting research findings in biomechanics, biomaterials, medical device design, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and imaging.

2. BINI 2026 Abstract Information

  • The deadline/closing date for submitting abstracts is close of business on Friday, 14th November 2025. 
  • You can find more information on the BINI website. 
  • Your abstract should be a one-page pdf file.
  • Please follow this format to name your pdf file: “surname_firstname.pdf” without using punctuation (for example, “ONeill_Deirdre.pdf”).
  • Please submit your abstract by using this updated abstract template (you will need to sign in to Google to access this).
