Dear Interns,

The following rules for abstract submission apply for the RAMI Intern Study Day 2017 which will be held on Saturday January 14th 2017 in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI), No.6 Kildare Street, Dublin 2:

Submission of abstracts closed.

All submitting authors must be members of RAMI.  Join here

 Deadline: abstracts may be submitted until Friday, December 9th at 5.00 PM (GMT). Abstracts submitted after this time will not be considered.

                    DATE Extended to Monday 12th December 2016, submit before 12pm 

 

Eligibility: case reports, case series, audit, clinical studies and basic science studies may all be submitted. All submitted abstracts must have the submitting intern as first author and must have a minimum of one senior author (e.g. Supervising Consultant for a Case Report). An intern may submit more than one abstract.

Abstract Limit: abstracts must be submitted as a Word document, using Bookman Old Style, (Size 10) font. A maximum of 300 words is permitted. The word limit excludes the abstract title, authors and institutions. Author list in the format of Surname, First Initial (omit titles), author reference in superscript i.e. Name1, Name2 and included affiliated hospital and intern network .Abstracts are text only; graphics (e.g. figures & tables) may not be submitted. Submitted abstracts not in this format will be excluded.

Abstract Grading: Abstracts will be reviewed and graded by the RAMI Abstract Committee: the Chair of the Abstract Committee will assign abstracts to the separate competitive categories. Abstracts will be scored and selected for platform (oral) presentation or poster presentation on the RAMI Intern Study Day.

Abstract Presentation: Submitting interns will be notified by email before Wednesday 4th January 2017 at 5.00 PM (GMT) whether their abstract has been selected for oral or poster presentation.

Abstract Publication: all submitted and considered abstracts will be published later in 2017 in the RAMI Intern Study Day Proceedings as a supplement of the Irish Journal of Medical Science. Only abstracts not published elsewhere will be considered for publication in the IJMS.
