On behalf of Prof Colreavy and myself, thank you for coming out in support of our Winter RAMI Meeting, held in RVEEH Conference Centre last Friday 12th of December. It was another interesting and enjoyable meeting. The standard of presentations was very high. It was a lovely opportunity for colleagues from around the country to meet and catch up and share unusual cases and surgical techniques.
Our Prize for Best Presentation went to Dr. Emma O’Farrell, for her presentation entitled ”Magnetic Attraction’ – A novel technique for retrieval of a penetrating oropharyngeal foreign body.’ Dr. O’Farrell’s medal will be presented at the Spring RAMI on 17/04/26.
A runner-up prize was awarded to Dr. Áine O’Brien for her presentation ‘A click gone quiet’.
Winner of the best Christmas outfit was Dr. Eoin Conlon for his Santa hat, which he wore while presenting!
Thank you to Ollie O’Flanagan, Dr. Michael Fitzsimons and Dr. Rhodri Hill for their help with the AV on the night. Thank you to the team in the Eye and Ear. Thank you to our Executive Assistants in the RAMI office, Ms. Jackie Sweeney and Ms. Deirdre O’Neill.
Please ‘Save the Date’ for our Spring RAMI meeting, in The Kingsley Hotel in Cork on Friday 17th of April 2026. Please make note of the Winter RAMI also, which will be held again in RVEEH Conference Centre on the evening of Friday 04/12/26.
