This is a new Section for RAMI, it is for all students undertaking research into biological sciences whether undergraduate, postgraduate, medical and dental students – Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland Student Section (RAMISS).

RAMI has been in existence since 1882. In March of 2019, RAMISS was founded by Dr Darren Roddy and Kirk Levins with the aim of promoting undergraduate and postgraduate research in the healthcare and biomedical community and particularly among medical and dentistry students. The first workshop, Friday 12th July 2019 will be a taster of what is to come in the next year. We will have a mixture of research and study days, skill training, social events as well as poster and essay competitions throughout the year that will be free to you as members (join RAMI).  €10 per annum  for Undergraduates and €20 per annum for Postgraduate students.

In particular I would like to draw your attention to the RAMISS Student Research Medal and Awards that will take place on Monday 14th October 2019- Details here. This will be open for all medical, dental and biomedical students in Ireland.

As Student President I look forward to having you as a part of our newly formed section and hope that RAMISS can be of benefit to you and help you further your careers.
